First project

As our first project, MCI donated a full scholarship for a student from a developing country to the United World College Changshu (China). The UWCs are international schools where student from all over the world study for the last two years of secondary education to obtain the IB. Founded on the principles of German educator Kurt Hahn, the schools intend to promote international understanding. There are currently 16 UWC globally. Karen Mok and Johannes Natterer went to the UWC in Duino (Italy) in 1987 – 1989, met there and feel that supporting the UWC movement is something very close to their heart.
